Overview:

The Bacchus, named for the greek god of wine and debauchery, seemed a strange design for the pirates of Star Haven to produce. Slow and ungainly, the Bacchus have limited offensive firepower, and used antiquated wepaonry.
However, the profile of the Bacchus makes it an excellent mech for holding the fort, or for ambushes. As part of a lance, it is an extremely tenacious opponent.

Capabilities:

The tenacity of the Bacchus comes from its heavy armor coverage. Utilizing ferro fibrous armor manufactured locally, the Bacchus can stand toe to toe even with assault mechs.
Two extended range large lasers developed by Word of Blake engineers for the pirates provide the main firepower for the Bacchus. At closer ranges, an MRM 20 rack and a Pontiac autocannon can dish out heavy damage. In addition, the pirates are said to have procured several dropships worth of advanced autocannon munitions from the Federated Suns, which will probably be used in the Bacchus.
The most glaring weakness of the mech comes from its extremely low ground speed, which is far below that of its contemporaries.

Deployment

Bacchus are deployed alongside Sepoys and Highwaymen in many pirate outfits. Lady Death seems intent on building a power base, though for what purpose nobody knows yet.
