Overview:

Seeking to capitalize on the small buyer and noble household market, Earthwerks decided to downsize their lauded Thunderbolt mech into a 55 tonner, called the Electron.

Capabilities:

The Electron is also known as the mini-Thunderbolt, and the nickname is especially appropriate, as it is nearly identical to its bigger brother.
It's arsenal is nearly equal to that of the T-Bolt, but for the lack of an SRM launcher and one machine gun. 14 heat sinks are barely enough to cool the mech, and pilots are advised to keep one eye on their heat scale in combat.
Slow for a medium mech, the Electron is nevertheless an excellent design that can stand up to any other medium mech, and quite a few heavy ones.

Variants:

Earthwerks provides an upgraded version for wealthier customers. Including endo steel and double heat sinks, it mounts CASE and upgrades the LRM launcher to a 20 rack with Artemis.

Deployment

Electrons have been sold to many nobles in the wake of the Free Worlds League Civil War. More than a few now serve in the FWLM, where they are prized for their endurance and firepower.
