Overview:

The Strider was House Kurita’s medium-class OmniMech.
It wa a failure, if nothing else. Too slow to evade more capable heavy mechs, and too weak to engage in a stand up fight, Striders were soon known by their users as virtual deathtraps.
Majesty Metals managed to obtain the rights to produce the mech from Luthien Armor Works, and they decided to improve the mech somewhat to increase its effectiveness in combat.
The result was the Aragorn. For a base price increase of 700,000 C-Bills, the Aragorn gained   better armor and some more pod space.

Capabilities:

The Aragorn is almost identical to the Strider, and as such serves specialized roles on the battlefield, with similar configurations to the Strider.
The primary configuration uses two streak six pack launchers locally produced by MMI under license from the Draconis Combine, capable of flinging a total of twelve devastating 100 mm SRMs.
The alpha variant is the recon version, equipped with cutting edge electronics from the Capellan Confederation.
Other variants run the usual gamut of loadouts for different situations and terrain.

Battle History:

Aragorns were seen in Magistracy forces as they took part in the liberation of Terra, serving as heavy scouts and shock line forces.

Deployment

Aragorns are found only in Trinity Alliance units. However, it is rumored the Marian Hegemony managed to purchase a run through Elena Logan.
