Overview:

A low cost garrison mech for the Fire Mandrills, designed by Kindraa Sainze, the Weaver melds firepower and cost into a simple and effective package. While not the most cutting edge of clan design technology, the Weaver is a solid garrison design and a worthy addition to the Mandrill touman.

Capabilities:

The Weaver is based on an uninspired design philosophy of low cost and maintainence. With poor ground speed for its weight class, the Weaver also lacks jump jets, all in exchange for an acceptable level of firepower.
A large pulse laser and an advanced tactical missile system with two tons of ammunition provide excellent offensive capability against most targets, while two lasers provide back up at close ranges.
The Weaver is very heat efficient, and can fire all its weapons at its maximum movement rate without suffering any degradation in capability.
The relative light armor of the mech is a disadvantage, compounded by its poor speed. The most common role for the Weaver is as a lightweight fire support mech, fighting at long range.

Deployment

Thw Weaver has appeared only in the various garrison clusters of the Fire Mandrills, the Kindraa Sainze selling the mech at discount prices to its fellow Kindraa in exchange for raw materials. For their part, the other Kindraa, esepcially Beyl-Grant, is pleased with the Weaver's performance.
