Overview:

The Federated Sun's obsession with rotary autocannons threatens to spill over in their new Racnarok assault mech, produced by Kallon Industries.
Basically a walking RAC/5 platform, the Racnarok can tear apart any mech at medium to close range.

Capabilities:

Armed with no less than 4 Mydron Tornado rotary autocannons, the Racnarok can throw out an unprecedented volume of fire, with very little overheating. However, there isn't enough ammunition to fire the autocannons at full rates for two minutes, so pilots are ofte advised to conserve their ammunition.
Heavily armored and with the torso ammunition protected by CASE, the Racnarok can also withstand staggering amounts of damage.
Moderately priced due to the use of a standard engine, the Racnarok promises to be a mainstay of the AFFS in years to come.

Variants:

One variant replaces the 4 RAC/5s with 5 RAC/2s. While not as heat efficient as the original, it does have a longer range profile.

Deployment

Racnaroks have been sent to all AFFS regiments, including militia units. Garrison units love the mech for its toughness and damage potential.
