If most people found the Glabrezu weird, then the Jormungand must be driving them out of their minds.
A gauss heavy machine, the Jormungand mounts no less than 3 gauss rifles, one of each type.
- Capabilities:
To mount so many heavy weapons means that the armor protection on the Jormungand was much less than optimal. However, NETC refused to use a XL engine on the grounds that there would not be enough space for the heavy gauss rifle in one of the torsos.
The Jormungand is a dangerous foe at all ranges, capable of smashing mechs down with single salvos from any of its gauss rifles. The firepower at medium ranges is nothing short of murderous, and even heavy mechs have been pulverized by a full salvo from all three gauss rifles at close range.
The Jormungand carries enough ammunition to fire each gauss rifle for more than two minutes, which makes trying to outlast it in a fight extremely risky.
- Variants:
One variant turns the Jormungand into a lighter version of the Thunder Hawk, with three standard gauss rifles.
- Deployment
Jormungands have been spotted in the militaries of all five houses, as NETC expands its business to take advantage of the massive rebuilding in the wake of the Jihad.
